Description: Stunning large (largest size they made) Lalique crystal Rinceaux mirror designed by Marc Lalique, c. 1950. Features a conforming mount with applied crystal scrolls, signed Lalique France. There is a one quarter inch metal base, with the back portion wrapped in white plastic film. The mirrored frame with the mitered corners forming the base for the central beveled mirror portion. On top of the outer frame is the looped motif, in multiple sections and secured to the base with screws. The back is smooth, and offers no traditional method for hanging. Measures 51 1/2" x 34 1/2" x 1 1/2" deep and can be hung horizontally or vertically, handcrafted in France. In Mint to near mint condition. No scratching. The final three images show minor issues - two corners where the two angled corners meet there is a tiny nick (hard to see in person) and once framed, will not show. There is also a small 3/4" stress crack (not on the top of the mirror but on an underlying piece of glass under the mirror) that radiates from one of the screws that secure the looped pieces to the mirrored base framework. This can be fixed, if desired, by replacing that layer of glass. A fine addition to any home or collection!
