Description: Very Early Antique Western BRANDING IRON, HAND MADE BY BLACKSMITH, Fancy Intertwined Letters "SCL" DESCRIPTION: Scans show it all.....particularly nice, LONG, antique western branding iron from an old collection. Very nice fancy intertwined letter design and very nice eye appeal. Large, fancy intertwined letters "SCL". Obviously was used, but shows its age well. This is a particularly early one, made of iron, and was hand made by an early blacksmith as shown. Letters are very nicely formed and early antique style. The other end of the bar was formed with a point, to be inserted into a wooden handle. Lettered head measures 3 1/2" wide x 5 1/2 high. Measures 20" long overall.A PARTICULARLY NICE EXAMPLE AND A GREAT, AUTHENTIC, ANTIQUE DECORATION PIECE!!
