Description: Rare Mid Century handcrafted Studio pottery covered, handled Tureen by Oscar Bucher, a well-known ceramic artist located in Santa Barbara, California. Frothy light gray glaze with brown feathering and highlights. Two exuberant handmade applied strap handles. Lid with flaring flat top finial and cut out in rim for a ladle. The tureen is signed on the bottom as shown. Circa 1980’s. Measures approx. 10.5” tall x 12" diameter at the handles. It weighs just under 5 lbs. before packing. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. A large ,beautiful piece of Studio pottery by this well listed artist whose works have been exhibited in numerous museums and galleries throughout the United States and Europe.
