Description: Laviolette Limoges Muville Hand Colored Watteau Scene 8 1/2 Inch Plate Nice antique porcelain plate. Beautiful hand colored scene with Georgian / Colonial couple with a woman playing a lute and another couple walking down the road. Has signed artist signature that reads Muville. Has two marks on the back. One has a crescent moon with L D & Co Limoges France. The other mark is Limoges France with an arrow. This second mark is for Laviolette Limoges 1896 - 1905. I have not been able to find any information about the other mark. Has some wear to the gold gilding along the edge, but otherwise excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other damage. Measures approximately 8 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
