Description: Offered here for sale is a very unique piece of what we think is Cowhide but there is a possibility that it is Horse hide. The skin is a black embossed crocodile or alligator pattern and seems to be pretty unique. The skin measures approx 1.6mm thick as you can see on the photo with the micrometer in the listing. It is a hair on type of skin. The back of the skin is a soft feeling type of a suede. The quarter is placed on one of the photos for sizing purposes. This skin is perfect for making handbags or possibly shoes. We are going to start selling off pieces of leather so if you are interested in leather hides, please follow us for Leather listings. The skin measures 51" as shown in the first photo with the tape measure and 36" as shown in the second photo with the tape measure. We are really not leather dealers. We bought all of the skins to make samples and bags. Most likely the skin came from a tanner in Italy. It is extremely high-quality. There is nothing here from China that we will be offering. Everything is either Italian or possibly domestic United States tanners. The skins have all been kept inside sealed plastic containers, such as shown in the last photo of this auction. True
