Description: LEGO Space Alpha-1 Rocket Base (483) Used, Complete Take a trip through time and space with this vintage LEGO Space set from 1979. Just 10 years after man first landed on the moon, the fearless LEGO spacemen had constructed a lunar base to refuel and launch their rockets toward even deeper space exploration. This classic set even inspired the recent Micro Rocket Launchpad set which celebrates the storied Space theme. It includes all the pieces needed to build the base and includes the moon terrain baseplate. There are lots of unique old pieces here like the baseplate, taps, trans-yellow plate and bricks, and printed computers. Condition (please read and see photos!): the set is used (not to mention old). Some pieces may show playwear and minor discoloration, but overall pieces are in good condition without major damage or discoloration except as noted here. One of the white spacemen helmets has some nicks and scratches. The torso print is also faded to the point where the gold is no longer visible but the rocket is still visible. Box and original instructions are not included. The set has been disassembled and washed for shipping.
