Description: Solid Brass Letter Opener made by Virginia Metalcrafters (stamped on reverse 1996). It is cast brass and has been used. Condition is quite good with some wear & very small nicks near edge (see photos). It is 8 inches long and 1 inch at it's widest point. The Virginia Metalcrafters Company in Waynesboro VA produced brass castings until it's 2006 demise. They created reproduction hardware for historic sites including Colonial Williamsburg.
