Description: Lexicon MPX R1 OS v2.11 EPROM Firmware Upgrade KIT This upgrade version 2.11 is the latest firmware update issued by Lexicon for the R1. Included will be 1 upgrade chip to complete the upgrade. All EPROM upgrade chips supplied here are brand new, recently manufactured and sourced direct from ATMEL to ensure data integrity well past our natural lifetime. Please keep in mind that the R1 itself is not for sale, only the EPROM upgrade chip will be supplied. Please verify which firmware revision your R1 is running before purchasing. Simply turn on the R1 and have a look at the screen, the version number will briefly flash, thus telling you what you have installed. This upgrade version aims to resolve issues that certain MPX R1 hardware version 1 users experience with MIDI CC response time as well as general improvements with the midi system firmware code. You will require a regular #2 Phillips head screwdriver to conveniently perform this upgrade. If requested - A link will be e-mailed to you with the MPX R1 service manual for your own personal reference. I find this to be quite useful and informative. Be sure to take note of the marked orientation notch on the side of the EPROM to ensure correct installation. EPROMS inserted backwards will be destroyed. Incorrect insertion of ICs is also likely to cause damage to the board. All EPROM upgrades have been prepared in an ESD-safe production environment and will be packaged in equally ESD-safe materials.
