Description: Liber Amoris, Or the New Pygmalion, by William Hazlitt; with an introduction by Richard Le Gallienne (London: Elkin Mathews & John Lane, 1893) Curious little antique book. Published in 1893 with a title page tipped-in from the 1923 first edition. The tissue protecting that page has come loose and has foxing. Following the title page is a 47-page introduction, and following that are appendices (93 pages). Following the appendices are 182 pages of text, with a small erratum sheet inserted at the back. Paper-covered tan boards, though soiled, are holding the whole thing together. The spine is quite worn, with chips at the head and base (see photo). The page edges are rough cut, worn and darkened. The spine title label survives. Overall fair condition. Seems to be quite scarce.
