The book was designed by Robert L. Dothard. There are 189 full-size reproductions from the original volumes, done for the most part by the graphic arts processes originally employed, and at several printing houses, using a variety of papers. The Bembo type for the text was set at Mount Vernon, New York, by A. Colish, who printed the text pages on Archer white, a rag content paper made exlusively by the Curtis Paper Company of Newark, Delaware. The book is half-bound in hand-boarded black morocco leather, the cover sides being of the finest quality red linen. The Club's mark is embossed in gold and blind on the front; and the spine bears a red leather label, gold-stamped. This is number 1370 of 2250 copies, of which 1500 went to LEC subscribers and 750 went for distribution for sale to interested parties. The offer includes the essential four page Monthly Letter, the prepublication announcement, AND two letters from Helen Macy, Secretary for the Limited Editions Club, to the book's original subscriber. This title is absolutely necessary for inclusion in any LEC libary, regardless of size or level of value. It would be an awesome gift to any LEC collector.
