Description: This is an assortment of sock yarns by small companies and independent dyers that were purchased through KnitCrate, a subscription yarn club that has gone out of business. Yarn Expressions subscribed to several of these to find interesting and different yarns for out customers, beside the commercial yarns we got from companies like Berroco, Cascade, Classic Elite, Universal, etc. The hanks of yarn listed here are all traditional washable sock blends that we came across when clearing out some of our warehouse storage. We have only one hank of each; while these colourways were almost certainly dyed exclusively for Knit Crate, the companies are in business and the yarns are still available in other colourways. What we have here is mostly the last remaining stock in these colourways. The Done Roving colourway is still available from the company but they have announced the closing of their store in November. The first 5 are all traditional 75/25 Merino Nylon blends. The sixth one, the Vidalana is 80/20 with Peruvian Highland wool and Nylon and is spun slightly thicker than the others. It is still a fingering weight, just a fractionally heavier one. There are only 400 yards of this yarn. The 7th and final one is 100% Superwash Merino and we have 2 hanks of it. 1.
