Description: Linda Mcfarling Studio Art Pottery Salt Soda Fired Signed Vase Vessel NC. I have seen a few of these that she has made and in general I believe they are called pouring vessels. Her work is intended to be functional as well as beautiful so I would imagine this would have been made for possibly soy, rice vinegar, sake or tea. It is in great condition and without a doubt a beautiful piece of art! Her pottery is wheel thrown, textured and altered. She obviously draws inspiration from Asian pieces as well as nature. She uses an atmospheric kiln with salt and soda which allows her to better influence the outcome in her pieces. Approximate measurements: 6"H x 6"W x 4"Deep 2 lb 5 oz Note: Used condition. Please examine all of the pictures closely, as they are part of the description. When buying pre-owned or vintage items, please expect some aging, wear and minor imperfections.
