Description: This auction is for a vintage (MPC era) Chessie Berkshire locomotive, tender and five passenger cars with original boxes. This desirable MPC set is tough to find with the cars. The locomotive and tender are LN overall. Nice bright colors and graphics. Nice details, The five cars included are the 9582 combo car, 9583 passenger car, 9584 passenger car, 9585 observation car and 9586 dining car. These are all part of the Chessie Special set and are in LN condition. I believe the 86 car was offered later after the original set came out. Cars appear to have no run time on the wheels. Maybe once or twice. Cars have lighted interiors, window silhouettes and cast trucks. The locomotive and cars all have the original boxes. Boxes show age and storage wear but are complete. Engine runs as intended and lights work. Lionel manufactured this set in 1980’ * Please see photos as they are the best description. NOTE: I leave feedback 24-48 hours after feedback is left for me.
