The modern production versions of it are made of low end materials and one made by Bob will fetch a premium. In our opinion this knife is a huge upgrade over the production versions. It has premium D2 steel which Bob Dozier always said was the ideal knife steel. Not stainless, but very stain resistant none the less it takes an excellent edge and is hardened to 60-62.
