Mary Eula Sears (1904-1981) was a painter, watercolorist, pastelist, craftsperson, printmaker, and teacher. She studied at Sullins College, Bristol, Virginia; McMurry College, Abilene; College of Industrial Arts, Denton; University of Colorado, Boulder; Parson’s School of Design New York; Columbia University, New York; Olin Travis; Edward Gustav Eisenlohr; Frank Klepper; Morris Henry Hobbs; Robert Sear’s forte was as a printmaker. She taught summer art classes at the Abilene Museum of Fine Arts while exhibiting in numerous exhibitions.
