Description: Here is a great set of two different LITTLE NUNS COMIC COLLECTIONS. The two Little Nuns were comic strips and panels created by BILL O'MALLEY in the 1940's. The two sisters, SISTER MAUREEN and SISTER COLLEEN were regular strips in (and created exclusively for) the Catholic Church magazine EXTENSION MAGAZINE. When Bill O'Malley had a "falling out" with Extension Magazine over payment, he left, BUT, was unable to take his Two Nuns creation with him. So, Extension hired former DC COMICS artist JOE LANE to carry on with the strip. After a lawsuit was finally settled (with Joe Lane speaking on behalf of Bill O'Malley), O'Malley was able to continue drawing his "Little Nuns", among many other creations, many in the SPORTS field through hi8s death. We are selling two different LITTLE NUNS books, one by each artist. The set includes: 1) TWO LITTLE NUNS from 1950. It is SIGNED boldly in blue ink on the title page by the artist and creator, BILL O'MALLEY and 2) MORE LITTLE NUNS from 1951 by JOE LANE. It is NOT SIGNED. The books are in good condition with bumping and shelf wear to the cover edges and corners. The glossy pages are very clean, the binding is still nice with NO separation and there are no tears or marks. A great set of rare books.
