Description: Beautiful bookmatch live edge spalted hard maple pieces with lots of character. This is four similar shaped sets of 2 bookmatched pieces. 8 pieces total. Live edge bookmatch set of two measures 9 1/2” at longest by 9 1/2” at widest by 1 1/4” thick, plus the three other sets in decreasing dimension. Properly air dried for several years, sanded one side to show features. 7% moisture content. Photos are with mineral spirits brushed on to highlight wood features and after evaporates to show unfinished. Front and back. Spalted and character wood often has associated splits, checks, knots, worm holes and sometimes will require stabilizing. Best professional milling skills were used to get these boards. All of the pieces listed are desirable and will inspire the woodworker to create special projects. Protectively packaged and shipped within one day, usually by UPS ground. Each piece is harvested and milled by me then properly air dried indoors for several years. Mineral spirits are used to highlight features because it evaporates and does not raise the wood grain as water does.
