Description: Lledo Diecast ModelsChevron Promotional SeriesChoose Model(s) Postage combined if buyingf more than one [Please make sure you put all your chosen items in your basket before finalising purchase, to ensure postage calculates correctly] Jack Odell, one of the founders of the Matchbox diecast company, founded Lledo (Odell backwards) in 1982, and launched the "Days Gone" range of models in 1983, taking over a market previously popularised by the Matchbox "Models of Yesteryear" series. Models produced by the Enfield-based company became popular among collectors worldwide. After Lledo went out of business in 1999, the naming rights and model range were acquired by rival diecast maker Corgi. Lledo specialised in the Promotional market, often making models for companies and organisations who wanted to have their own logo or livery on a model. American company Chevron commissioned a total of 33 models over an 11-year period from 1990 to 2000, which they would give away to motorists who made purchases at their petrol stations. Some of these models were based on exisitng Lledo castings, but they also commissioned one or two completely new models each year. The final models in the series were produced after the take-over by Corgi. This series of vehicles, depicting historical Chevron delivery vehicles from the past, remain highly collectible. Excellent pre-owned condition. Boxes are generally excellent, but the No. 23 [Oil Well Repair Truck / Mack Crane Truck] box is quite bashed around corners, with significant creasing. Otherwise, boxes are very good but one or two may have a crease across the back, one or two have slight marks from removal of price labels and one or two still have old price labels affixed.
