LOET VANDERVEEN (1921-2015) BRONZE HORSE on Lucite Plinth, signed, #110/500

Description: This statue is from my personal collection; it is a beautiful example of a rather "art deco" horse resting on a Lucite plinth. It is #110 of a 500 piece edition, so there are 499 more of these out there, but that isn't very many, so the buyer of this statue will have a very special piece of art! . I have been collecting Loet Vanderveen sculptures for over twenty years and am just now beginning to allow them out into the community. This wonderful statue of a horse resting on an accompanying Lucite plinth is one of my favorites, and I haven't seen another like it on eBay for a very long time. It is about 5.5" tall and the bottom of the Lucite base is 6.5" in depth and 2.5" in width. It is in good, used condition. The bronze has some expected patina for a piece of this age, but the patina actually enhances the surface appearance. The Lucite base has some scratches on the four upright sides, and on the bottom surface where it has been resting over the years. Signature, copyright trademark, and edition numbering are all clear and readable at the lower edge of the back side of the base.
