Issue was once bound up in a volume and is now free-standing and complete unto itself as originally issued. Nice looking, clean, well preserved example, pages loosened, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive. Text on reverse of each page as always, images and maps from Harper's like this are often offered separately for display. Newspaper measures c. 16" H x 11" W. Full front page of the issue features a Thomas Nast cartoon: 'Dynamite and Panic in the Air!' Inside is a full page 'Unveiling at Baltimore of the Barye Group'. Other full page illustrations are 'Tobogganing at Saratoga' and 'Hunting on Snow-shoes'. Two half-page illustrations are "Brutal Outrage will not Free Ireland" by Thomas Nast and "Section of a California Big Tree at the New Orleans Exposition". The double page centerfold "The Water-Color Exhibition of 1885" is comprised of 28 illustrations.
