Description: This listing is for 10 copies of this record. Jimmie Rogers 45 rpm ( 1954-55) "I Won’t Sing Rock and Roll." New. Red vinyl. First recording. Never released because Zig Zag Records owner’s address was incorrect. I have the original box that a pressing of 100 records was mailed from Hollywood. There is no date on the package. I interviewed Jimmie in 2012 at a private concert in Camas, WA. He did not remember the recording but I had copied the record to a CD and played it for him. He recognized his singing but didn’t remember doing this recording. It occurred to me that the recording may have been done without his knowledge. After leaving the Air Force, Jimmie played some gigs close to his hometown. It didn’t take long for his star to rise. My biggest complaint is that Jimmie never got into the Rock N" Roll HOF. Jimmie Rogers may not be in the Rock n’ Roll HoF but this record sure is. I sold a copy to one of the executives. Shame on them for ignoring Jimmie. (Don’t be confused with the country singer by the same name from the 1930’s.)
