Description: The item for sale is a group of three salad plates in the form of a lotus leaf. The form is almost identical to the plates produced by Metlox Poppytrail of California. The major difference is that they are not marked by a manufacturer and a raised foot around the bottom of the plates is not present. It is likely that the mold used to produce the plates was produced from an original Metlox. The plates are best described as a reproductions of unknown origin and comparable quality. The glaze color is a bright orange brown. The plates were previously owned. The condition is almost essentially pristine. One plate has a small chip about twice the size of a grain of sand. Otherwise, there are no chips, cracks nor other types of damage. There is no wear. There are kiln stand marks on the bottom. The diameter of the plates is about 8 1/4".
