Description: This is issue #3 in the Love and Rockets series created by the Hernandez brothers (Gilbert, Jaime, and Mario) in 1982 and published by CX, a division of Fantagraphics Books. Gilbert Hernandez signed the comic at the San Diego ComicCon in 2002, singing with his recognized "Beto" signature. (See close up scan with the signature above "Sopa De Gran Pena" on page 3). The series is comprised of two separate ongoing stories: Gilbert chronicles the colorful inhabitants of the fictional Latin American town of Palomar, while Jaime follows Latinx friends and sometime lovers Maggie and Hopey and their circle of friends in the punk scene of the fictional Californian town Hoppers.
