Description: Engraved souvenir from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. A sentiment from a father to son, engraved on the Reverse of one of the Columbus Bust Dollars, design of HK-228. As the Reverse was obliterated to produce the engraving, it is impossible to tell if this is Shevlin 6-131, 132 or 133. The engraving was professionally done, and while worn reads: "Hugo Palmer, Jr/from/His Father/Oct. 11th 1893/aged 3 years". Obviously carried for quite a while as a pocket piece, it grades VF/EF based upon the "Columbus Bust" side, however that matters little as this is by definition unique. Very cool and belongs in the collection of a serious Columbian Expo or Love Token collector. 0331-10Please Note: We require payment within four days of purchase, unless you contact us for other arrangements in advance of purchase.
