Lovely 15-Pc Nippon Morimura Demitasse Set, Tray, Teapot, Cups/Saucers, HP, 1911

Description: A simply gorgeous tea set. It consists of a serving tray with handles, a tea or coffee or chocolate pot, and 6 demitasse cups and saucers. The set is exquisitely hand painted with beautiful flowers and leaves and an art deco style gold trim. The tray measures 11-1/2" from handle to handle; the teapot measures 6-1/2" from spout to handle, 6-1/2" tall, and 3-3/4" in diameter at the base; the demi cups measure 2-1/2" from handle to rim, 2" tall, and the saucers 4-1/8" in diameter. In amazing condition; there are some small gold smears inside a couple of the little cups, but since they are all hand painted, it's to be expected. According to my research, the backstamp dates this set back to 1911 and was used on items intended for export to the United States. All pieces except the saucers have the Nippon Morimura stamp on the bottom. Please look carefully at all pics and ask questions prior to buying. Thank you for stopping by!
