Description: This is one of the prettiest, 18" tall, signed: Madame Alexander/Sonja Henie composition dolls we have ever offered with original thick, blond human hair wig in original set with original, gold barrettes and matching green velveteen, gold trimmed hair bow, beautiful, clear brown, sleep eyes with sable hair lashes, painted lower eyelashes, brows, eyeshadow and knee blush. She has an open mouth with row of pretty teeth and adorable dimples. She is wearing her charming original, tagged: Genuine/Sonja Henie/Madame Alexander/New York, N.Y. USA/All Rights Reserved green velveteen skating costume with double heart sequin trim, attached pleated net petticoat as well as matching panties and original gold ice skates with lace-up ties. She is in excellent condition, holds a pose well and has no crazing, no cracks or chips, no repainting or hair trim. Her clothing has no stains, tears or fading and no odors as she is from a smoke free home. Her skates have flaking to the surface color and need one blade. Originally advertised in "Playthings" magazine in 1939, she was made to represent this famous ice skating champion who also became a movie star.
