Description: Starting with the turntable: I bought in new in 1980 (only 44 years ago!). This elegant engineering marvel is in like--new condition. How can that be? Well first, it was in a box from 1984 to 2019 because in 1984 we all thought that phonographs had been replaced by CD players. I gave away my record collection at that time (and have cursed myself for doing so ever since). I unboxed the turntable in 2019 and began purchasing audiophile quality records again. Second reason for the turntable still being like new, I'm a perfectionist and treat my stuff very carefully. Now about the cartridge: The Grace F9e is a legendary cartridge. I bought it at the same time I purchased the turntable. It has an enduring reputation that has lasted to this day. Just "Google" the cartridge and review what people have said about it. The only part of a cartridge that gets worn and needs replacement is the stylus. A few years ago I replaced the stylus with a new one and a ruby cantilever from Soundsmith. The fact that Soundsmith still offers replacement stylus' for a 44 year old cartridge is testament to its enduring quality. Again, check out what the Internet says about the turntable and cartridge and let me know if you have any questions.
