Magic was a US company based in Carrollton, Texas with the models made in Hong Kong. According to other listings, this is a copy of the Tomica “blue box” casting with the pop up headlamps cast shut. Looking at the Tomica examples - there are A LOT of similarities whichever would be hard to explain if it was an in-house design Some versions have ‘Lotus’ on the decals as well as stamped on the base. This version has a revised decal and a blanked over base potentially indicating it was falling foul of trademark lawsuit somewhere.
