This is a very uncommon novel set in Moorestown, New Jersey. The author has, according to the Publisher's Note, "created a heroine of entirely different type and calibre form the usual women depicted by novelists. He has dared to marry her in the early stages of the book, and yet, by his very genius, weaves his story so artistically that the interest is developed rather than diminished. He sounds a clarion warning to the people to watch legislation and to guard against the interests present at every meeting of every State Legislature endeavoring to grasp all that the people will give through their representatives, returning nothing. He draws good purpose upon his experiences in the New Jersey Legislature under Woodrow Wilson and James F. Fielder, an gives graphic pictures of legislative life, a phase of experience too sadly neglected by writers. The novel is strong, healthy and moral in every way, and we launch it on its way with every confidence that the public will appreciate Mr. Bredenbek's work and heed his warning while enjoying his narrative."
