This is a reprint of the 1873 edition which was published in 1973. This lot also includes Barbara E. Tappan invoice blank forms, correspondence and prices with the publisher of this volume. Please note that the 3rd photo showing the printed book jacket is NOT INCLUDED in this sale. It is only shown so you can see the finished product. 1. Original pen and ink drawing signed by Barbara E. Tappan (BET in lower right corner) on cardboard which measures 10.5" x 8,75". Drawing is 4.25" x 4.25". "front of Book jacket" written in pencil at upper right. Stamped "Tower Pub. Co. Portland, Me. 04101" at lower edge of front and back. Tappan was also President of the Bremen Library Association. 2. Seven "Barbara E. Tappan" blank invoices. Five are in excellent condition. Two others also with one stuck to envelope and the other with smudge and stain from glue on envelope. 3. Three "redi-letter" messages from "The Seavey Company Printers and Binders". 4. Tower Publishing Company "price for reprinting 500 copies of the "History of Bremen...). Note at bottom in pencil "Book Jacket $50 extra. Dated April 13, 1972. Small rust stain from paperclip at top left corner. 5. Typed letter from Tower Publishing Company to Barbara Tappan regarding enclosed "Jacket Cover for you to read...". Also the manager apologizes for his misquote on publishing price. Dated August 8, 1972. Small rust stain from paperclip at top left corner. 6. Typed letter from Barbara E. Tappan (and signed by her) to Raymond Wordsworth of the Seavey Co., placing the order for the second printing of History of Bristol, Bremen and Pemaquid". Dated March 28, 1973. Rust stain from paperclip at top left corner. 7. Typed letter from Tower Publishing Company to Barbara Tappan regarding envelope for maps to place in books and a "dummy" book soon to be shipped for her inspection. dated October 10, 1973.
