Description: Offered up is an amazing group full of examples of nice very early paleo tools that were found in Mono County Ca. A stunning variety of very large Paleolithic early man tools from an old ranchers family collection, doesn’t get any better than this!! Check out the pictures as they are always the best description. From an old Bishop family collection collected from the 1870's to the 1960's. Side note on this grouping, these were found on the slope at the bottom of a cliff which was being used as a kill site for Mammoth and Bison in the Paleo days. The family members had been told as children that back in the late 1800’s the matriarch of the family had been out looking for a lost calf and stumbled upon a bushy area at the base of a cliff filled with these huge worked tools and as she dug a little down she came upon a huge area of very large paleo bones and ancient tusk fragments.
