He also collected the posters and other advertising material that went with the films with the hopes of someday opening a movie museum. He retired in the early sixties as TV took over. He was still a source for rare 16mm prints up until the 1990's when his son Earl Manbeck Jr. founded Manbeck Pictures Corp. in 1995.
