Manzanilla is the most widely grown variety in the world. It is a Spanish olive used for oil, stuffed fruit, salted green or black. The fruit can be picked and used at different phases of its maturity depending on the intended use. If you have eaten an olive, you most likely ate a Manzanilla. Spain exports more olives than any other country and Manzanilla is their primary variety due to its exceptional quality and versatile use. If you live above zone 8, this makes a great container plant. You can use it on your patio in the warmer months and bring it back indoors for the winter. These plants are 1-2 years old.
