Description: Here is a very nice Marblehead Pottery decorated acorn shaped vase with a deeply incised floral design of blue centered flowers and pale blue leaves against a matte purple ground. The interior is white. It measures 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 3/8 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws or repairs. Marked with the firm's die-stamped MP and ship mark. The pottery was founded in Massachusetts by Dr Herbert Hall, run by Arthur Baggs, and dates to about 1915. A fine piece of New England Arts & Crafts art pottery.
