MARBLE'S USA rare 1920-1923 5" blade IDEAL knife, large nut handle, tube sheath

Description: Vintage circa 1920-1923 MARBLE'S 5-inch blade IDEAL model Hunter with original 1920th tubular leather sheath with aluminum tip protector insert. This short-lived "large nut pommel" Ideal with hard-to-find early tube sheath is from the Marble's early 20th century "golden era" - a great find! The knife is about 8-7/8" / 22.5 cm overall; the blade is about 5" / 12.7 cm. The blade has been sharpened; it is razor-sharp still; the tip is intact. Stacked leather washers with colored fiber/brass spacers, bronze half-hilt and “large nut” aluminum pommel. The handle is solid; all parts are tight with no play. Original tubular leather sheath with interior tip protector is in great shape, considering the age. The leather is soft and supple still; a few typical abrasion spots are noted for accuracy. Marble's Knives was one of the best US makers of hunting knives, axes and other outdoors gear since 1898; this knife is from the Marble's early 20th century "golden era" - a great find!
