Originally from New York City, he graduated from the School of Art and Design and has been painting, drawing, printmaking and making music ever since. His stylistic explorations range from linear to pointillistic landscapes, from gestural impressions of music to the lush color and patterns of his Homage to Klimt series. His early musical endeavors include performing on Dick Clark's American Bandstand, jamming with Bob Dylan in Greenwich Village, touring with The New Christy Minstrels, working with renowned producer Phil Spector and producing/recording for the CBS, Reprise and Folkways/Smithsonian record labels. In 1967 Uzilevsky's multi-faceted creative odyssey led him from New York to California, where he now resides. His universal appeal has been substantiated by the sale of over a half million lithographs in multiple styles.
