Description: Maria II (Mary II), rose farthing pattern, or medalet, Montagua 18, Cooke - 578. No date on the coin, but associated with William III in the time around 1689-90. Tje obverse shows a right facing portrait of the queen, with the legend around showing "MARIA. II. DEI. GRA.". The reverse shows a rose in bloom, with the legend showing "EX. CANDORE. DECUS." There is a single, fine line, old scratch coming down from the neck/jaw. Both sides are a nice, uniform dark brown color.
