Description: Vintage Japanese Marquetry Wood Trinket Box Yosegi Zaiku Fan Maple Tree DETAILS OF ITEM This is a vintage mid century Japanese wood trinket box using the marquetry technique known as Yosegi Zaiku. It measures 5.75 inches long by 3.75 inches wide by 2 inches high. It features a Maple leaf falling off of the Maple tree branch with a dance fan that was thrown into the air following the flight of the leaf. The image on the cover was slightly curved requiring the marquetry to follow the corners without cracking or splitting.
