Description: ***SINGLE CARDS AVAILABLE, PLEASE INQUIRE*** Art Spiegelman and Françoise Mouly published RAW and in 1980 issue 2 came out with 6 cards bound in a clear bag on the center staples. The cards were an homage to Mars Attacks put out by Topps where Spiegelman was working at the time. It was rumored that they hand collated the packs at their kitchen table. Unfortunately each pack was only 6 of the 8 cards in the set numbered 3, 12, 17, 20, 21, 38, 42, 76 and the collation was not that even. There was also a stick of gum which all but ruined one of the 6 cards. Given the cost of an issue of Raw these days anywhere from $150-300 and no guarantee of getting a set, this is an amazing opportunity to get all 8 cards. These are the originals from 1980 and not reprints. There are no gum stains. Some cards have some slight bends to them from being inside a magazine for over 40 years but overall I have never seen a set this clean. The cards were based on the City of Terror story by Mark Beyer. Come from a smoke free, pet free home and have been put directly into penny sleeves and top loaders directly from the magazine.
