Description: Offered is the soft cover book "Martha Berry-A Woman of Courageous Spirit and Bold Dreams", written by Joyce Blackburn and published in Atlanta by Peachtree Publishers. This biography of the founder of Berry College in Rome, Georgia is a first printing of Peachtree's paperback edition, from October, 1992. In addition to the author's signature on the title page, the author has also written a personal inscription, signed "Joyce", dated May 3, 2001, on the first blank page. There are numerous black and white photos. Although this is a common book, signed copies are uncommon; at the time of original listing I could only find two others for sale on eBay, neither this edition. The book is approx. 8" x 5 1/2" and contains 162 pages. It is in very good condition. The soft picture cover has no holes or tears. There is some very slight edge wear along the top front and some marks from handling. I see no missing or torn pages and all of the pages are well-attached to the cover. They are generally clean and clear, but there is some light spotting along the page edges, seen when the book is closed. I see no writing in the book other than the author's. A small price sticker, possibly the original, is on the back cover. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions. I will do my best to answer them! Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
