Description: TThis is a very interesting guitar from 1931. First of all it is probably the only Martin 1-17 on Reverb. It is bigger than a 2-17 but a little smaller than a 0-17. It is super comfortable and light.Somewhere along the line, it had the neck very professionally carved and shaped down to a more modern width of 1 11/16.It was very well done and so well done that we think it might have been completed by the Martin factory. However, we have no proof of that. But if you have ever wanted one of these rare 0-17 parlor guitars that plays so easy with a smaller nut size, then this is the guitar for you.I do have the original tuners and bridge.Finish is original as far as I know. This also has a pickup installed when I bought it.A crack was repaired and frets dressed by Brother's Music, right near the Martin factory. In fact, both Dave and Rich of Brothers Music worked at the Martin Factory for many years.. You can see the attached receipt of that work. The sound coming out of this little guitar is amazing for it's size. Everything was checked out by Brothers music. Action is so great. This guitar needs nothing. It fits like a glove in the included TLK case. Rest assured that this guitar will be extremely well packed and shipped with full insurance for the purchase price.
