Griffith in 1909 and 49 in 1910 while she was still a teenager! The most popular star of the silent era, she co-founded United Artists in 1919 with Charles Chaplin, DOUGLAS FAIRBANKS (1883-1939) and D.W. Griffith. In 1920, Pickford and Fairbanks, who were known as "Hollywood's King and Queen of the Silents", were married. Fairbanks starred in comedies and westerns in the 1910s and then in very popular swashbucklers during the 1920s. Pickford and Fairbanks separated in 1933 and divorced in 1936. Irregularly trimmed.
