At 1.5mm in diameter, you will find while making patterns with this MAXI EL Wire, it will hold itself rigid when bent into its desired shape. The bend radius of MAXI EL Wire is 5mm which is the same as our standard EL Wire as is the breaking strain at 1kg. Pressure on the MAXI EL Wire should not be more than 1kg, this means it cannot be pinched too hard or trodden on. These spectacular improvements are due to a thicker copper core giving a greater area of luminosity and helps the EL Wire hold its shape.
