Description: Maxon VOP9 Vintage Overdrive Pro Overdrive Description Condition: New Rather than dramatically altering the sound, VOP9 adds a natural, warm sheen to the guitar sound reminiscent of a good vintage amp. It allows you to create expressive overdrive sounds through subtle fingering and subtle picking. Guitar Effects Pedals Vintage Overdrive Controls: Drive, Tone, Level Power supply: 9V battery or AC adapter (sold separately) The VOP9 is a mixed overdrive that overlays an overdrive sound on a clean boost sound. When the drive level control is set to minimum, the overdrive circuit works as a -12dB attenuator and the clean boost circuit works as a 6dB booster, resulting in a clean, flat boost sound. As you turn up the drive level control, an overdrive sound is added. All op-amps use the well-known JRC NJM4558D IC, which produces an overdrive sound with low noise. The overdrive circuit is the same type as the OD808/OD9 with a diode in the negative feedback loop of the op-amps. The 4PDT mechanical switch is used for true bypass switching, so there is no degradation of sound quality caused by the switching circuit in effects as well as bypass.
