Description: MAY IT PLEASE THE COURT BY JAMES M BECK SIGNED BY AUTHOR, HARDCOVER 1930, U.S. Representative from Pennsylvania This book is in good condition, clean, tight binding has a bit of splitting evident at title page but holding very tight. The scarce dust jacket is in fair to good condition with corner and edge wear/tattering. The book is inscribed by James M Beck with very nice thoughts to Lawrence Lewis . (See picture and description of Beck and Lewis both members of the U.S. House of Representatives) James Montgomery Beck was an American lawyer and politician from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Republican Party, who served as U.S. Solicitor General and U.S. Representative from Pennsylvania from 1927-1934. The inscription is to Lawrence Lewis who was a U.S Representative from Colorado from 1933-1943. This is a nice piece of history between two Congressmen. As with all vintage & antiquarian books we try to describe any flaws, but please see the pictures as part of this description for overall condition.
