Some vehicles may need to have this feature tuned out of your ECU so that check-engine-lights do not illuminate. The AFM valves are part of a feedback loop of the CCM (Central Control Module) and ECM (Engine Control Module), so the vehicle is expecting to have the AFM valve assembly intact.
