ITEM CONDITION: We are pleased to offer for sale a really pretty McKee Depression Era Seville Yellow one cup, 2 spout measuring cup. The one cup Seville Yellow measuring cups are scarce and when they appear on the secondary market they do not last long . This lovely measuring cup has the the embossed "Philbe Style" pattern on the curved sides. The pattern on this cup is very faint and hard to see, but it is there. We finally managed to get a picture that shows the pattern but it does not show up in all our photos. Our pretty cup is true Seville Yellow. This lovely item is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or major mold imperfections. The measuring cup has a glossy finish. The embossed measures are well defined. The inside of the measuring cup is nice and clean without residue. For those who want to know if this is Uranium Glass, the answer is it does glow under a black light. McKee Seville Yellow - The McKee Glass Company is the only company that had a complete line of yellow milk glass items made specifically for the kitchen area. There were round canisters with glass lids, canisters with aluminum screw lids and drop lids, measuring cups, reamers, rolling pins, water dispensers, leftover jars, spice shakers, salt and pepper shakers, water bottles, a salt box, mixers and mixing bowls in several different shapes. There was even a punch bowl made in this color. The Hocking Glass Company made a small line of kitchen yellow, but it only consisted of a few pieces. The Hocking color was not as vivid and deep as McKee's and never gained the popularity that McKee's Seville Yellow obtained. This once loved color is still popular with collectors today.
