Around the body, there is an embossed band featuring fleur-de-lis pattern and applied figural medallions, the handle is decorated with an applied figural lion's head mask. The pot is monogrammed "LB" in a stylized script. Retailed by the Ball, Black & Co. of NYC c. 1851-1874.This incredible tea pot is 8 3/4" wide across the handle and the spout, 7 1/2" tall, weighing 716.2 grams or 23.1 ozs Troy. It has minor dents.The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
