Description: This is a Men's ring, a size 9 made of 10 carat Black Hills gold. It was bought by me and basically never worn, there is no wear or tear on it. The way they got the different colors was by alloying the metal with varying % of copper, and that produced a gold purity of 10 carats. Half of my mother's side of the family is from that area of Western South Dakota and at one point or another, they all worked in the Homestake mine. There will be no more Black Hills gold mined there because the US Government used the very deep depths for experiments involving certain kinds of radiation coming from the Sun. So there will be no more. Winning bidder, first and foremost you will be very happy with the ring. It is very distinctive and I love mine. I am keeping one back for myself. I had it sold a few days ago but someone who made a mistake or who wasn't serious, so please, no playing around. Please be advised that I have the ring cross posted somewhere else, and I reserve the right to cancel either as I see fit. In case you are wondering about the prices that start, they are not massive rings, it's just that the price of gold is around $2.675 per ounce. That they are 10 carat means little, gold is gold. Estimate the weight of the ring, express that in grams, figure out the price per gram, factor in that 10 carat is 41% pure, and realize that THAT price will be the floor. I have to get the gold content plus the artisan creation of the ring.
