Description: Mercer Moravian Tileworks GEOMETRIC with a diamond pattern Green Glaze on Red Clay Art Tile Lot of 2 This set of two rustic tiles was handmade by the Henry Mercer Moravian Tileworks in Doylestown in Bucks County, PA. They are green glaze on red clay tiles. Each tile is unique due to being handmade. They measure approximately 4.5” long x 2.5” wide x 1/2” thick but size varies. Tiles are flawed as shown. The tiles do not have a makers mark. They are from an estate in Doylestown, where the Moravian Tileworks is located. Condition: pre-owned. This set has some worn/chipped edges on corners and top/bottom edges of the tiles. There are areas where the glaze has worn through on several spots. One tile had crack form pre-firing. See photos. Other sets of tiles may be available.
